In
1968, Chester Rieck purchased the assets and customer list of Central
Plastics of North St. Paul, and on August 28, the company was incorporated
as Sunrise Fiberglass Corporation.
The
production facility was a 2900-square-foot livestock barn, and there were
three full-time employees. In 1970, an additional 3500-square-foot facility
in Wyoming, Minnesota, was leased, and four employees were added.
An expanding customer base and the need for greater production effeciency
dictated a facility consolidation and relocation in 1974. A move was made
to a new 12,000-square-foot facility, located in the Industrial Park in
Wyoming, Minnesota.
In 1999, production requirements and space limitations prompted a second
relocation to a larger, even more efficient facility. After nine months
of facility planning and design, renovations and equipment additions were
begun on a 54,000-square-foot plant adjacent to I-35. Our present “state-of-the-art”
production facility was completed in September, 2000.
